About Te Hiku Sports Hub
Te Hiku Sports Hub is Kaitāia’s brand new Sports Hub. With dedicated wings for sport and aquatic use, Te Hiku Sports Hub will offer the community a range of activities to be enjoyed year-round.
The aquatic wing of Te Hiku Sports Hub features a 25-metre, eight-lane swimming pool, learn to swim pool, hydrotherapy pool and toddlers’ splash pad and water play area. Aquatic programmes at the Sports Hub include Aqua Aerobics, specialised hydrotherapy options and Swim Tangaroa – Te Hiku Sports Hub’s learn to swim programme for all abilities and ages upward of 6 months.
Te Hiku Sports Hub supports the nearby fitness track, multi-use sports fields, courts and cricket nets. The sports wing provides function rooms and team change rooms along with a well-equipped gym. Members will benefit from Te Hiku Sports Hub’s broad range of fitness equipment, group fitness classes, personal training and welcome consults with BEGIN!
Community will also be able to access outdoor fitness equipment under outdoor lights to extend the hours of play in a day. Te Hiku Sports Hub is a truly inclusive space for locals to connect and strive to reach their health and wellbeing goals.
